Inter Greek Council

The Inter Greek Council (IGC) is the umbrella organization which recognizes and oversees all social fraternal organizations on the UB campus. IGC coordinates programming and education with the Inter Fraternity Council, the National Pan-Hellenic Council and the Panhellenic Council, the United Council of Cultural Fraternities. Members strive to increase cooperation and communication between the Greek community and the rest of the University at Buffalo community.

Inter Fraternity Council

The Inter Fraternity Council (IFC) is the governing body for men's local social fraternities at UB and those that are members of the North-American Interfraternity Conference (NIC) External Site Link Icon . IFC provides education and training to fraternity members on a wide range of subjects relevant to the Greek community. The IFC seeks to educate it's members about alcohol abuse, community service, multi-cultural issues, health issues, and chapter management. The goal is to allow members to become educated, involved and active in their chapters.

National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC)

This council is comprised of the Noble Nine and the member chapters are all city-wide, instead of institutional. The scholarships are founding principles shared by each of these organizations and their national council, the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC).

Panhellenic Council

At UB, the Panhellenic Council (Panhel) is the governing body for local social sororities at UB and those that are members of the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) External Site Link Icon . They strive to promote good scholarship, philanthropic services, deep friendship, and the empowerment of women on campus. They are:

United Council of Cultural Fraternities and Sororities

The United Council of Cultural Fraternities and Sororities (CFS) is the governing body of historically cultural based Greek chapters. CFS strives to promote their common heritages, history, community service, and unity.
